Austin Suburbs
With a population of 19,000, Lakeway is an Austin suburb. Lakeway is located in Travis County and is considered one of Texas's best places to live. Inhabitants of Lakeway enjoy a sparse suburban vibe, and most residents own their homes. I'm going to tell you why you should make Lakeway your home.
Lakeway's small-town vibe is one of its main draws. Many of you want to be in Downtown Austin but don't want to deal with the crowds and noise. If you're looking for some quiet time, Lakeway provides precisely that.
Lakeway is no longer considered just another lakeside retirement community. Families, working professionals, and retirees all live in this neighborhood. Lakeway living highlights a diverse range of lifestyles. It is a family-friendly city, and many young families in the community enjoy the parks and water sports available on Lake Travis. Because Lakeway is a small town, you'll be sure to know your neighbors.
The people of Lakeway and their visitors can enjoy 64 acres of well-kept parks at City Park, which offers a wide range of activities. With over two miles of trails, there is enough room for walkers, joggers, bike riders, or even rollerbladers. The Butterfly Garden is a great place to spend a day if you want to appreciate the park at a more leisurely pace. Help your furry friend make new friends at the Bark Park. When the lake level is high in the summer, City Park is an excellent area for various water activities.
In the Lakeway, a two-bedroom condo can cost as little as $450,000, and you can go well beyond $2 million. However, getting what you desire in this elite metropolis will cost at least a million dollars.
There are various types of homes here, from Mediterranean houses to modern residences. There are homes on the water and homes inland. As a result, if you live in Lakeway, you may find a little bit of everything when it comes to lake life.
In terms of wanting to build a new home, new construction in Lakeway is minimal. Sweetwater and Rough Hollow are my two favorite communities. In terms of amenities, the Sweetwater community will have everything. There will be a lot of rolling hills with trees because Sweetwater is in the hills. As Rough Hollow is so close to the lake, you'll get greater vistas in this neighborhood. Home prices will vary. For example, a three-bedroom 2200-square-foot home in Rough Hollow is now on the market for $785,000. If you have a larger family and require additional space, you will almost certainly need to pay at least $1 million to get what you want.
So you've decided you want to move to Lakeway based on what I've told you so far, and you have kids and want to know about the school district? Students in Lakeway attend Lake Travis ISD, which is one of the highest-rated school districts in central Texas, so you won't have to worry about that.
So, in a small lake town, what can you do? There are many things, starting with all of the lake activities like fishing, swimming, boating, and, most notably, flyboarding. You can also visit the nearby parks for some peace. For all of you cyclists out there, Lakeway is the place to go if you want a challenging ride. The hills here are wonderful to ride and will provide you with the challenge you seek. For entertainment, go to High Five, which has an arcade, bowling, two bars for adults, and incredible VR. Lakeway is also a dream come true for golfers. You can golf and view the water.
SP Brazilian Steakhouse is the place to go for steak in Lakeway, while Santa Catarina is the go-to for enchiladas and tacos and all the pleasures that come with a Mexican Martini.
So that's the Lakeway dream: to live in a community where your children may grow up knowing their neighbors and enjoy everything the lake offers. To golf at your leisure in peace while living in a truly spectacular property right on the lake.
