Stonewall is a tiny Gillespie County community on Highway 290 between Johnson City and Fredericksburg, famous for its peach orchards, the LBJ Ranch, and some of the most scenic countryside in the Hill Country. Every summer, roadside peach stands line the highway, drawing visitors from across the state.
The LBJ Ranch — the "Texas White House" — is now a National Historical Park and remains Stonewall's most significant landmark. The surrounding land features rolling hills, wildflowers, and the Pedernales River, making it one of the most beautiful settings in Central Texas.
