About

Living in Stonewall

Stonewall is a tiny Gillespie County community on Highway 290 between Johnson City and Fredericksburg, famous for its peach orchards, the LBJ Ranch, and some of the most scenic countryside in the Hill Country. Every summer, roadside peach stands line the highway, drawing visitors from across the state.

The LBJ Ranch — the "Texas White House" — is now a National Historical Park and remains Stonewall's most significant landmark. The surrounding land features rolling hills, wildflowers, and the Pedernales River, making it one of the most beautiful settings in Central Texas.

Why Stonewall?

  • Famous Hill Country peach orchards
  • LBJ Ranch National Historical Park
  • Scenic Pedernales River valley
  • Between Johnson City and Fredericksburg

Angie's Guide to Stonewall

Stonewall is the Hill Country postcard — peach orchards, the LBJ Ranch, and Pedernales River views that take your breath away. My clients who buy here are investing in one of the most beautiful settings in Texas. Properties are limited and tend to be significant — this is ranch and estate country, not subdivisions.
