Is Now a Good Time to Sell?

Have you been thinking about making a move and sell your home? It might just be the right time to sell your home.

Have you been thinking about selling home? Is your current property too large? Too small? Too expensive? Too hard to manage? Are you ready to travel more? If any of these questions are ones that you have thought about I've got some helpful insight to consider.

This might be the right time to sell! The first step in making a good decision is information. You would be amazed how many people will use stories they heard at the grocery store to make the decision to sell a home. Before you make any decision, speak to a real estate agent and talk about your local market and pricing trends in your area. Learn about the inventory levels of your neighborhood and get a comprehensive market analysis of your property. Doing this allows you to see if it make cents ($).

Historically a great time to list a home is during the spring selling season but this also depends on what area you are in and your life circumstances. The answer to this question has many parts. You have to decide if it is a good time for you. There are many factors that would be reasons to put your home on the market. It is one that is personal and has to work for you and your family.

Inventory in the Austin and surrounding areas is low, which means less competition. Many have a desire to settle their families before the next school year approaches which is why se see an influx of active buyers starting in the spring. Many buyers take advantage of the weather for house shopping. The sun is shining, the temperatures are comfortable, and it's before summer vacations begin leaving space to focus on house hunting. With all these factors it may mean that you see stronger desire to put an offer on your home especially if the inventory is low. You might have more money sitting in your home than you expect.

As interest rates continue to shock and amaze us at how low they are, many buyers are seeing this as a great opportunity to buy before it’s too late and rates go up. With Covid-19 changing the way we live in our homes and more employers implementing a work from home status, buyers are looking more than ever before. This has resulted in strong home market interest and with more buyers ready to find a new home, this might be the perfect time to sell your home as well.

Let's work together. If you have questions about the home selling process I'd love to be able to answer them.
